Get involved! Check out opportunities!
I am a former Special Education and Kindergarten teacher. I continue to substitute teach and look forward to events like classroom parties, which get parents into the building. My goal for this year is build a better relationship between Lovejoy and WHE, as well as, get Talking Canvas up and running!
I have a daughter Drew who is in 2nd grade this year and a daughter Dawson who is going to be a 4th grader! My husband Andy and I have lived in Cliveundale (IYKYK) for 12 years. I love being involved with people that surround my children every day and this has been a great experience getting to know other parents and the staff more than just in passing. I love being able to go into the classrooms and be part of the parties and learning events. We love being part of the Walnut Hills school and hope to continue developing events that bring families together to strengthen our community.
My husband, Jeff, and I have been blessed with two children: Megan and Matthew, who are now Third Graders! We have been very impressed with the teachers and staff since joining the Walnut Hills community. I have enjoyed my involvement with the PTO, while volunteering as a classroom parent, participating on the Staff Appreciation committee, being a classroom volunteer and as the PTO treasurer. When not spending time with my family, I am the Controller at The Graham Group, Inc. I am looking forward to another great school year!
I am a mom to 3 kiddos, Drew, Evan (6th grade) and Sidney (3rd grade) and married to my husband for 12+ years. We moved to Urbandale in 2020, just after Evan finished 1st grade in West Des Moines schools. We have loved being part of the Walnut Hills community. I joined the PTO to make new connections with fellow parents.
